Pure Small-Batch Maple Syrup. Made seasonally.
Straight from the best sugar maples on our family farm in Oregonia, Ohio overlooking the scenic Little Miami River. We tap our trees every winter as the snows are melting. There is a narrow window when temperatures are fluctuating above and below the freezing point. Only during this special time of year will the best maple sap flow. We then concentrate the sap 40-fold to the ideal sugar content (67-68%), filter and sterile bottle the syrup. If you love maple syrup, you won't find anything better than this!
Please refrigerate after opening.
Note: Some minor precipitate (called "maple sand") at the bottom of the bottle is normal and occurs during the concentrating process. It is perfectly edible and in fact is good for you, however, we filter most of it out for the sake of clarity and appearance. While not our intention, it is possible for sugar crystals to form at the bottom of the bottle. This occurs if the sugar concentration is slightly higher than 68%. It does not affect the flavor or purity of the syrup, and makes for some interesting crystal formations.
